River Trent at Weston

As with the Trent at Barlaston this stretch unfortunately suffered a pollution incident many years ago but an Environment Agency initiative introduced tens of thousands of small chub, barbel and dace which have flourished since their stocking.

This is one of our least fished waters and catch reports are few and far between but a fantastic brace of grayling was taken here in 2018, high banks and vegetation make this water quite tricky to negotiate but the rewards are there for intrepid anglers who are not afraid of a little jungle warfare.
