River Dove Doveridge

Owned by the society this stretch of the Dove is a specimen hunter’s dream with sizeable fish of all species to be had. Chub in excess of six pounds have been taken as have double figure barbel with a fifteen pounds plus fish reported in recent years.

Large perch can be found in the slack water chasing minnows in the summer months and pike of immense proportions are present although few and far between.

A huge shoal of quality bream has been noted on several occasions along with the odd carp. For the game angler there are specimen trout and grayling which readily take dry flies in the summer months.
